What Will I Get To Do At PLA2Y?
Students will receive cutting edge and culturally relevant instruction in a non-traditional format that integrates hands on instruction, field trips, internships, virtual reality exploration, augmented reality activities and leadership/character building opportunities. Students will draw on their passions and talents to discover new learnings and possible pathways for their lives beyond graduating from high school.
Open Exploration and Creation Spaces
Students will participate in PLA²Y activities in spaces that will encourage collaboration and discovery in a relaxed atmosphere.
Game Based Learning
Students will develop skills in communication, teamwork and perseverance that will help them engage, connect and succeed in learning tasks.
Real World Problem Solving
Students will be empowered to be curious and proactive citizens. They will apply learnings from different content areas and personal experiences to solve problems within their community that have personal meaning.
Use of Cutting-Edge Technology
Students will explore how their talents can be enhanced through innovation and technology. They will engage with tools that are used in our leading industries in order to make new meaning of their learning.
Create Through Your Passion
Students at PLA²Y will be given opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge through the lens of their passion- Learning without limits!
Virtual and Augmented Reality Exploration and Creation
Students at PLA²Y will be fully immersed in engaging digital environments that will deepen the scope of learning, collaboration and creativity that would not be achieved in a traditional learning environment.
Field Trips to Add to Your Learning
Students will discover and explore how their passions and talents could be used in different career pathways. They will connect with industry leaders and participate in activities that will spark inquiry and personal engagement.
